Fusing jazz, funk, and disco, Ella creates an irresistibly groovy, high-energy sound that is both nostalgic and fresh—designed to move crowds.

In March 2025, Ella’s debut EP Butterflies won Album of the Year at the Sask Music Awards, highlighting her signature inter-genre style. The five-track release showcases soulful vocals, infectious rhythms, and rich harmonies that feel timeless yet modern, appealing to diverse audiences.

Drawing inspiration from Corrine Bailey Rae, Silk Sonic, Earth, Wind & Fire, Tom Misch, and Stevie Wonder, Ella honours classic influences while forging her own sound.

On stage, Ella leads a dynamic five-piece band, Ella Forrest and the Great Pines, delivering polished, high-energy performances that consistently get audiences on their feet. In 2024, the band made their festival debut at All Folked Up Festival and performed on the main stage at the SaskTel Jazz Festival.

Ella Forrest and the Great Pines released their sophomore EP at the end of August 2025, continuing the momentum of an artist built for festival stages and ready to bring their vibrant, danceable sound to new audiences.
