Saskatoon’s FunkJoint is an acid-jazz minded band that revels in tight funk jams and exudes the spirit of improvisation. Originally founded as a duo between keyboardist Sauvelm McClean (Mobadass, Johnny Don’t) and drummer Graham Templeman (Sparky, Lavagoat), FunkJoint has grown to include talented and like-minded friends Steve Maier on guitar (Sexually Attracted to Fire, Crestwood), Adam Striesel on trumpet (Randy Woods Band, Saskatoon Jazz Orchestra) and recently Nathan ‘Barracuda’ Degenhart on Saxophone (Saskatoon Jazz Orchestra).

This dynamic group draws from decades of experience spanning genres from jazz to metal and everywhere in between. Their growing body of original music interweaves that range to unique effect as can be heard on their recent debut EP, ‘Many Worlds’.

Groovy and catchy, tune in to watch FunkJoint’s engaging performance pre-recorded at Saskatoon’s Broadway Theatre.
