SSJF: How would you describe 'high school you' in three words? MK: Accepted, music-obsessed, happy.
SSJF: One person you were surprised to find out is a fan? MK: My dad.
SSJF: What, if anything, is your most treasured possession? MK: Bein
SSJF: Why do you live where you do? MK: Because it’s paradise and inspiring to live on Vancouver Island.
SSJF: What do you think of when you think of Saskatoon? MK: Great memories of touring Canada for the very first time when I started my career. The SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival booked me in Saskatoon and North Battleford and it was my first time in the prairies, it was a beautiful summer and I’ve loved the prairies ever since.
SSJF: What has been your strangest celebrity encounter? MK: Standing in a hotel lobby in Sun Valley admiring a photograph not realizing the short guy next to me was Arnold Schwarzenegger.
SSJF: If you weren’t playing music you would be… MK: A chef and restaurant owner.
