House Rules
SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival House Rules
1. We are committed to equal access and to creating a safe environment conducive to sharing in music, community, and fun. We expect patrons to speak to each other, our staff, vendors, artists, and volunteers with respect and kindness. Violent, discriminatory, harassing, offensive or abusive language and/or conduct is unacceptable. Patrons behaving in such a manner will be removed from the festival site immediately with no refund on day passes.
2. Cameras and recording devices with detachable lenses are not permitted. Unaccredited photographers using cameras with detachable lenses will be asked to not use their equipment by either a representative or security personnel. Cell phone cameras with recording functions or point and shoot style cameras are permitted unless otherwise instructed.
3. Shows run rain or shine. In the unlikely event of extreme weather, shows may be canceled or rescheduled. Announcements and updates are made through our social media channels. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram @saskjazz to stay up to date.
4. The Victoria Park Festival Site is a smoke/vape free venue. Those wanting to smoke must leave the venue perimeter. You will be able to re-enter with a valid wristband during ticketed days.
5. Doors open an hour prior to all showtimes.
6. Artists are subject to change without notice. Headliners go on stage last unless unforeseen circumstances arise. Please note that the Festival does not censor or control the content created by performers. If you have sensitivities to adult language or socio-political commentary, please be aware of the artists’ work before purchasing tickets to and/or attending their performance.
7. No weapons of any kind are permitted within the Victoria Park grounds, including but not limited to bear spray, dog spray, or any variation of these products. Patrons found to be carrying weapons will have these items seized by security and will not be permitted to enter the premises. No refunds will be issued.
8. No outside alcohol is allowed at any time.
9. Bag checks are in effect at both park entrances at all times. Security may open or request patrons open beverage containers to confirm the absence of alcohol.
10. Waterbottles are allowed at the Victoria Park main festival site. There are also refillable water bottle stations available at the Victoria Park site. Please note that festival security may open water bottles to determine if alcohol is inside, and if that should be the case, the contents will be dumped out.
11. In the interest of those patrons with dietary restrictions, allergies, and other medical conditions, outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted within Victoria Park. However, The SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival is proud to host a large array of local food trucks, brewers, and other suppliers who represent the best in Saskatchewan’s food and beverage industry. We kindly ask you to show your support to these awesome businesses during your time in Victoria Park.
