Celebrating 30 years of #saskjazz

June 24 - July 3

The festival has a history of developing young local talent, many of who have gone on to big things. Listed in Rolling Stone magazine as “…one of the most notable guitarists from the next generation of six-string legends,” our spotlight artist has come a long way since he first stepped on our festival stage. At the tender age of six, the budding virtuoso dazzled an awestruck festival audience as he played his heart out to a packed Bess Gardens. Not bad for his first gig ever. Since then, the Seattle-based rock’n’roller has gone on to play with some of the best-known acts in the world, has signed with the biggest booking agency in North America and has amassed legions of fans across the globe. 2016 is set to be a landmark year for Reignwolf—he has an album on the way, a major tour announcement coming up and an appearance and scoring credit on Roadies, a new Cameron Crowe/JJ Abrams series starring Luke Wilson and a host of other A-listers.

Despite his globe-trotting tour schedule, this humble hometown howler comes back to Saskatoon whenever he can to spend time with family and friends; as he says in his critically-acclaimed track, Lonely Sunday, “…you know who you are and don’t you forget.” Looking at this newspaper clipping of a young Reignwolf tearing up the stage, it’s no surprise this wolf cub went on to become leader of the pack…
