We are heartbroken to announce that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the 34th annual SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival scheduled for July 3-12 until further notice. Despite this unprecedented decision, we are determined to be back presenting world-class musicians from home and abroad when it is safe to do so.
We take solace in knowing that with your support we will pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin moving forward. As the jazz great Miles Davis once said, “I’m always thinking about creating. My future starts when I wake up in the morning and see the light.”
As arts organizations and our industry continue to be devastated by this crisis, it is heartbreaking to see the people we have worked with over the last 30+ years collectively face unprecedented challenges during this pandemic. Our own community, as well as our organization, have not been spared from the effects. In addition to our valued funding and corporate partners, your ongoing support will make it possible for the festival to return stronger than ever. If you are able, please consider making a donation today.
We look forward to the days when venues are filled with enthusiastic crowds discovering the sights and sounds of the SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival and the incredible artists that have provided us with so many wonderful memories. We will be there. We look forward to seeing you there too!
Thank you for your support and understanding during these challenging times.
Stay safe. Stay strong. Be well.
