All volunteers of the Festival are required to pay a $10 fee, which must accompany this application.

VOLUNTEER WAIVER – Submission of this application constitutes your agreement to the Volunteer Waiver In consideration of the acceptance of me as a volunteer and permitting me to participate as a volunteer, I agree to save harmless and keep indemnified the Organizers and Sponsors, their respective agents, employees, officials, servants, representatives, directors, officers, and assigns, from and against all claims, actions, costs, expenses and demands, in respect to death, injury, loss or damage to person or property, howsoever caused, arising out of or in connection with my volunteering and notwithstanding that the same may have been contributed to or occasioned by the negligence of the Organizers or Sponsors, or any their agents, officials, representatives, servants or employees. Further, I hereby waive and release my rights to any claim I may have, now or in the future, against the Organizers and Sponsors, their agents, officials, representatives, servants, employees or assigns, for damage or loss, to person or property, injury or death relating to or arising out of my volunteering, howsoever caused.

Evening Concerts – FOH & BOH - Evening shifts approximately 6:30pm – 10:30pm - Late night shifts approximately 9pm – 1am - Sell artist and festival merchandise at venue booths - Handle cash & credit card transactions - Complete sales & inventory reports - Backstage security - Artist liaison Bessborough Gardens – Front of House - Preparation & clean up of venue for concert - Sell and take concert tickets - Provide Festival information to concert goers - Clean venue - Door security Bessborough Gardens – Back of House - Backstage security - Back gate security - Artist liaison Jazz Street - Provide information to the public - Transfer equipment between stages & place signage - Pay musicians and obtain signatures for union paperwork - May involve some lifting - Shift hours vary Club Jazz (Located in Kiwanis Park) Includes Free Stage and Beer Gardens - Shift hours vary, 11:00 am to 11:00 pm. - Must be 19 or older - Ticket sales - Servers - Floaters - Gate security - Stock control - Perform stage hand duties - Welcome and direct musicians - Paying musicians and obtaining signatures and Union paperwork - Provide direction and support to MC’s 50/50 Ticket Sales - Sell 50/50 tickets in the Bessborough Gardens and Club Jazz - Shift hours vary

Transportation - Meet musicians at the airport and drive them to hotel - Assist musicians with musician equipment - Transport musicians to venues for sound checks rehearsal and performances - Provide standby support for running errands - Must hold a valid drivers license and have acceptable references - Must be 21 to 65 - Shift hours vary, including early mornings and late nights Hospitality - Greet and orient musicians upon arrival - Confirm hotel rooms & hospitality services - Shift hours vary Maintenance/Runner - Assist venue coordinators as required, duties may include: - General maintenance and cleanliness of venues - Delivery and display of signage - Delivery of supplies - Must have valid driver’s license Master of Ceremonies (MC) - Perform MC duties at various venues as directed by Festival staff - Must be comfortable with public speaking - Knowledge of music, sense of humor, public profile are not necessary but considered assets! Poster Crew - Put Festival posters up in public places in your community or other locations as required - Pre-festival work in May and June Odeon/Amigo’s – FOH & BOH - Backstage security - Artist liaison - Sell & take concert tickets - Door security - Pay artists Clean Up Crew – Post Festival - Remove all signage and materials from each venue and deliver to volunteer headquarters - Remove all supplies from club jazz and return to volunteer headquarters. - Organize volunteer headquarters and return all required items to the 8th floor storeroom
