SASKATCHEWAN, CANADIAN & INTERNATIONAL MUSICIANS
SASKATCHEWAN MUSICIANS
The Festival values and supports creative projects from all Saskatchewan musicians. Saskatchewan musicians make up approximately 70%-75% of all performing musicians at the Jazz Festival.
The 2008 application deadline is Friday, February 8th, 2008. Before submitting an application, band leaders are asked to confirm band member availability and union/non union status.

CANADIAN MUSICIANS
Due to the high cost of travel in Canada, most Canadian musicians who wish to perform as part of the Canadian jazz festival circuit need to apply for a Canada Council Touring Grant. The Canada Council grant deadline is December 1, 2007.

INTERNATIONAL MUSICIANS
International artists who wish to perform must submit a press kit (CD, Bio, Cover Letter). Applications are accepted from September 1st to December 31st. The majority of programming decisions are made between November and February.
PLEASE NOTE:
WestCan (touring alliance of Western Canadian Jazz Festivals) will meet with other Canadian festivals in November and January for the purpose of developing artist tours. In order to be considered at the tour development meetings packages should be sent well in advance to each festival director responsible for programming.
